The Venue Smart team had the honor to participate in the Arnold Palmer Invitational (API). API is one of the premiere-event jewels on the PGA Tour, annually attracts one of the strongest fields of the season to one of the circuit’s finest courses with the entire production overseen and directed by one of the game’s all-time greats – Arnold Palmer.
Venue Smart was tasked with segregating recyclables for the first time in API’s history.
This partnership yielded over TWO tons of PET and Aluminum materials.
Receptacles were strategically placed in order to give attendees the best opportunity to recycle. This advantage drove to 2.15 tons of materials recycled and more importantly diverted from landfills. Without the diligence of the Venue Smart team, these materials would have otherwise been added to the five tons of waste collected.
